The DVD is being given away right across Europe and is presented in a simple card wallet. The feature was filmed in September 2009 over the couse of a week. It was extremely hectic as we had to shoot enough material for a film to be about 3 hours long. It was a two camera setup filmed by David (Victor Animation) and Andy Cornick (Videoheads). It was produced by Steve Cole (Fox International) with a cast of eight very well experienced anglers.
This is a small montage clip of just some of the DVD. The total length of the feature runs for two hours. As well as the main shoot in September two additional days of filming where needed to improve two of the chapters. It was the middle of January and very very cold!
This is a clip of some of the chapter indents. Camera tracking software was used to fix the text so it looks like it is sitting of the water. There is a total of around 5 minutes of computer graphics thoughout the feature. Editing the film was no easy task, it took a total of 40 days to edit from 30 hours of original footage. The entire feature was shoot in 1080iHDV, using Sony Z1's.
Its not all fishing, here is some filming we did for fun, its simply Chilly showing us how to make Tea the proper English way!
